Corruption trials against former housing and tourism ministers postponed for 4 April

Today, an Egyptian high court postpones the corruption trials against former Housing Minister Ahmed El-Maghrabi and former Tourism Minister Zuhair Garana to 4 April.

Lawyer, AbdelHamid Abu-Eisa, accuses the court of slowing down the case. He also called on others indicted to be summoned to court including, Yassin Mansour for the corruption case against Mohamed Fadly, the former chairman of the government-owned Akhbar el-Youm news agency.

Garana and Maghrai both face criminal trial for another case on 26 March.

The judge has ordered an extension of their detention.
