Investigations into fraud at 2005 and 2010 parliamentary elections should be completed quickly, Prosecutor-General Talaat Abdullah says

Prosecutor-General Talaat Abdullah has ordered the rapid completion of investigations into voting fraud during the 2005 and 2010 parliamentary elections, public prosecution spokesperson Judge Mustafa Dewedar said on Thursday.

Abdullah ordered the establishment of a committee to list all the reports of fraud because previous investigations had not done this properly.

During a televised speech on Wednesday night, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said he had witnessed electoral fraud by a judge when he was a candidate in Sharqiya during the 2005 parliamentary elections.
