The 15 member countries of the UN Security Council are holding meeting Thursday afternoon in New York for private emergency consultations on the crisis in Egypt, diplomats said.
The meeting, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. local (9:30 p.m. GMT), stands at the joint request of France, United Kingdom and Australia, following the bloody repression by the police and military events in Cairo, widely condemned by the international community.
