Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister Mohamed Abd El-Hakam announced on Tuesday that 128 illegal Egyptian immigrants in Italy have been arrested. Sixty-eight of these are underage.

According to Italian authorities the boat carrying the immigrants set off from Kafr El-Sheikh, governorate in Egypt’s delta region.

Italian authorities have taken the decision to deport these illegal immigrants back to Egypt without trial or imprisonment.
