Emad Abu-Zeid released on bail after spending one month in custody for allegedly 'spreading false news'

A reporter for Al-Ahram Arabic news website has been released on bail by prosecutors in Beni Suef.

Emad Abu-Zeid spent one month in custody for allegedly "spreading false news."

He was arrested at his home on 12 September following an arrest order by the prosecution.

Abu-Zeid is Beni Suef correspondent for the state-owned website.
