Clashes at Cairo University as Mass Communication students call for Dean's departure

Students at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University have clashed with each other ‎following protests against Faculty Dean Sami Abdul-Aziz

A number of students at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University clashed ‎with each other following calls by some for the departure of Faculty Dean Sami Abdul-‎Aziz, which were opposed by other students who want life on campus to get back to normal. ‎
    
The anti-Abdul-Aziz students went on an indefinite hunger strike and staged a sit-in whilst others tried to disperse them forcefully, resulting in a brawl that lasted for ‎about 15 minutes. Some female students passed out in the process.‎

Former Faculty of Mass Communication Dean Laila Abdul-Megid eventually stepped in to ‎ease the tension. ‎
