Students staging the now weeks long sit-in at Cairo University released a statement on Tuesday calling for a Friday march to Tahrir Square.
The students are demanding the removal of the university’s president as well as the heads of faculties.
The statement released also included demands to investigate all allegations of corruption at the university, revoke all accusations directed to students for demonstrating and a formal apology from university presidents for allowing military police to enter campus's and disperse student sit-in.
Al-Ahrar student group also called on the students of different faculties to march on Wednesday towards the main campus’s dome to join the ongoing sit-in.
