February 2014: Three South Korean tourists and their Egyptian bus driver are killed, and 14 people are injured, when an explosion rips through a bus near Taba, a town near the border with Israel.
October 2013: Two soldiers are killed and 48 injured in a suicide car bombing at the South Sinai security directorate in Tor City.
April 2006: Twenty-three people are killed and 80 injured when a series of bombs hit the tourist town of Dahab.
July 2005: Eighty-eight people die, mostly Egyptians, and over 200 are injured when three bombs explode in Sharm El-Sheikh, an hour drive from Dahab on the Red Sea coast.
October 2004: Thirty-four people die and 135 are injured when three bombs explode in and near Taba.
