Hurghada bus crash victims released from hospital

A bus travelling to the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada crashed during a rain storm on Sunday, killing 8 and injuring 30

Thirty people injured in a bus crash near Hurghada on Sunday have been discharged from hospital, according to a health official.

The prosecutor-general has authorised the burial of eight people killed in the accident, Ghattas Fakhry, head of the health department at Raas Gharib hospital, told state news agency MENA.

The bus flipped over in wet conditions near Hurghada on Sunday morning, killing eight people and injuring 30.

Egypt has been hit by heavy rains since Saturday, which have resulted in many accidents and the death of at least 16 people around the country.
