The foreign ministry has summoned the Iranian charge d’affaires in Cairo, Mojtaba Amani, for a meeting, private satellite channel OnTv reported. 

The reason for the meeting has not been announced.

The foreign ministry called Amani for a meeting in January over concerns about statements made by the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry regarding Egyptian affairs.
