A fire at a medical storage unit in Moqattam has left one person dead.
A 50-year-old worker died of suffocation in the blaze on Friday.
The fire has been brought under control.
Prosecutors said there were no fire extinguishers at the site, according to Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
The whole site and all of the drugs inside were destroyed.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out on Thursday in an agricultural area in the Siwa Oasis, near the Libyan border.
