Investigation into the train shooting continues

Policeman Amr Abdel Zaher reenacted his crime today at the train station in front of police investigators. Abdel Zaher is accused of opening fire, killing a Copt and injuring six others in a train in Samalout, southern Egypt on Tuesday.

The alleged murderer has reenacted his crime in the same train car, one meter away from the Samalout train station. Security personnel yesterday detached the train car – number 9 of train 979 – where the shooting had taken place.

Moreover, the Cairo-Aswan road was closed for 15 minutes today for the reenactment of the crime. Till now, the motive of the murderer remains ambiguous and suspicions regarding sectarian violence are being voiced throughout local media outlets.
