Hassan Allam Holding to become COP27 supporting sponsor

Egypt’s foreign ministry signed on Thursday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hassan Allam Group making the Egyptian construction giant a supporting sponsor of the 27th session of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP27), set to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh on 6-18 November.

Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister and General Coordinator for COP27 Organisational and Financial Affairs Ashraf Abbas signed the MoU with the Chief Commercial Officer o9f the Hassan Allam Group Mirette El-Sayed in Cairo.

Abbas said the COP27 presidency believes in the important role that the private sector can play in various aspects of international climate action.

For her part, El-Sayed said the company is proud to be partnering with the Egyptian government at the upcoming climate conference and that it recognises that achieving progress and prosperity requires continuous and coordinated efforts to create the necessary economic and environmental conditions.

El-Sayed added that the conference represents an important opportunity for discussion between the various stakeholders about how to reach a balance between achieving economic growth while preserving the environment and using available resources in more sustainable ways.
