UAE president to take part in COP27

Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan will take part in the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), which will kick off in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday and will run till 18 November.

UAE Ambassador to Egypt Mariam Al-Kaabi said her country will take part in the international event with a high-level delegation, adding that the UAE is preparing to host COP28 next year.

More than 100 heads of state are due to take part in COP27, in addition to 45,000 other participants.

More than 3,000 journalists and media professionals from around the world will cover the event.

A large number of media outlets will be broadcasting the conference proceedings from Sharm El-Sheikh, including Reuters, the Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, Bloomberg News, and Fox News, in addition to news agencies from Russia, Italy, China and others.

French President Emmanuel Macron, US President Joe Biden, and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be attending the conference.
