Egyptian Writers Union to postpone awards ceremony due to 'political circumstances'

The vice president of the Egyptian Writers Union, Dr Gamal El-Tallawy announced that state award ceremony will be postponed

Vice President of the Writers Union of Egypt, Dr Gamal El-Tallawy announced that the union has decided to postpone the ceremony honouring union members who werea awarded the state prize this year.

It was scheduled for Tuesday, 23 August and the new date as yet to be scheduled.

They stated the postponement is due to the current political circumstances and in light of the soldiers and those who have died in Sinai.
