This book debates the problems of power and knowledge in Islam through the study of Islamic political experiment and its roots in different literary works.  It also discusses the caliphate state, and the problems of working with the sultans.

The author has divided his huge book into three main sections: scientific authority and political experiment in Islam, the evanescence and problems associated with the science of Sharia purposes, and Abu Ishaq Al-Shatibi" and his foundation of the science of Sharia purposes.

It is worth mentioning that the second edition of the book was issued in Rabat, Morocco in 2009, but this new edition belongs to the Family Library.
