The General Egyptian Book Organisation (GEBO) has released The Human Side in Naguib Mahfouz by novelist Saeed Salem.

The main goal of the book is to reveal the sensitivity of Mahfouz through the memories of the author, explaining his views on life, people and his light jokes, his human touch, joys and sorrows.

The book comes amid celebration of the centenary of the birth of the late and great Egyptian writer.
