Deep Sahara by Leslie Croxford
Celebrating 80 years in Egypt, The British Council is organising a book launch for Leslie Croxford’s latest novel, Deep Sahara.

On 22 February, you can listen to Leslie Croxford talk about, and read from, his latest novel, Deep Sahara, set in the depths of the North African desert.
Already receiving critical acclaim ("A haunting new novel by Leslie Croxford," who "invites comparison with E M Forster and Lawrence Durrell" (The New Yorker), copies of the book can be purchased from Diwan.
Leslie Croxford is a British writer born in Alexandria. He resides with his wife in Cairo, where he is senior vice-president of the British University in Egypt.
He obtained a doctorate in history from Cambridge University, and has written one previous novel, Solomon’s Folly (Chatto and Windus,1977).
He is currently completing his third novel.
The book launch will take place 22 February at The British Council, 192 El-Nil Street, Agouza from 7- 9.30pm.
