For the special event of the Ramadan Book Fair taking place in the popular neighbourhood of Faisal, south-west Cairo, the General Egyptian Book Organisation is releasing a number of new books, and republishing others.
Among the new publications are autobiographies of former Deputy Prime Minister Yahia El-Gamal, entitled Usual Life Story, and Awatef Abdel-Rahamn, professor of journalism at Cairo University.
The complete poetry of Rimbaud, translated to Arabic by Refaat Salaam, will be released in a new edition, as well as the complete works of renowned Egyptian poet Ahmed Fouad Negm.
New editions will be released of White and Blue by Egyptian novelist Gamal El-Ghitany, and the poetry collection Names Unsuited to Places by Azmy Abdel-Wahab.
In the field of criticism and research, the book Bahaa Taher: A Theatre Critic and Islam and the Humanity of the State, will be released.
