Bibliotheca Alexandrina has recently launched the website of the Project “Re-issuing the Classics of the Islamic Heritage in the 19th and 20th centuries (13th and 14th Hijri centuries)” which aims to introduce selections of modern Islamic heritage and the writings of prominent reformists of this period.

The website aims to refute the prevailing misconception that the contributions of Muslim scientists and thinkers did not go beyond a certain period of history.

It also aims to bridge the gap between the West and the Islamic World. The Website offers a complete electronic copy of these selections, classified under 6 main themes.

The website will be adding more books to its list after they are revised and proofread, in addition to a short abstract introducing the book and its author.

It will also features a blog, which acts as a forum for interaction between users and the project team.
You can find the website here.
