The Arabic Centre for Research and Policy Studies has just released a new book, entitled Alfan Al-Maghibi (Moroccan Art as an Attractor of Social Integration), by the Moroccan researcher Mohamed Hammam.

The book provides a sociological examination of Moroccan art as a vehicle for integration in Moroccan society. The author also examines the poetic texts and allegories of the Moroccan music band Nas Alghiwan.

The author sees the music and lyricism of Moroccan songs as an elementary principle of the formation of national identity, tying the Moroccan people to their country.
