Atlantic hurricane Dorian is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane on Friday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

Dorian was about 150 miles (240km) north northwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico, with maximum sustained winds of 85 miles-per-hour (140kph), the Miami-based weather forecaster said on Thursday.
