Hundreds wounded in Yemeni cities Taez and Sanaa confronting Yemeni security and thugs

Al-Jazeera reports that over 400 were wounded in Taez Tuesday in protester confrontation with security sources.

One person was killed and more wounded in random fire on a rally in Sanaa.

Al-Jazeera adds that another was killed and tens more wounded in another shooting by plainclothes armed men also in Sanaa.

Reports such as this from Yemen are now common, as Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh clings to power amid mass protests calling for him to step down. Anti-government demonstrators face tear gas and confront regime loyalists and thugs on a daily basis now.

More than 100 protestors were killed in such confrontations.
