Nigerian jihadists 'directly targeted' aid facilities

The United Nations on Tuesday said an attack on the northeast Nigerian town of Dikwa by the suspected Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) had ' directly targeted' aid facilities

The United Nations on Tuesday said an attack on the northeast Nigerian town of Dikwa by the suspected Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) had ' directly targeted' aid facilities.

'Several aid agencies and a hospital were reportedly set ablaze or sustained damage'  in the attack launched on Monday, the UN's humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, said in a statement.
