"According to preliminary reports, the Russian attack left eight dead and 18 wounded. One child is among the wounded. Four people are in a serious condition," the official, Oleg Kiper, wrote on social media.
Meanwhile, Russia's defence ministry on Monday claimed the capture of a new village in the eastern Donetsk region as its troops advanced towards the key logistics hub of Pokrovsk.
The ministry said its forces had "liberated" the small village of Novooleksiyivka about 15 kilometres (nine miles) from Pokrovsk.
