Bomb explodes in southeast Turkey, 11 wounded

Success of Kurdish candidates in the national election was being celebrated at time of explosion

A percussion bomb exploded in southeast Turkey late on Sunday, injuring 11 people celebrating the victory of Kurdish candidates in the parliamentary election, security and hospital officials said.

The explosion occurred around 11pm (2000 GMT) on Sunday in the province of Sirnak, near the Iraqi border. The casualties were being treated at a nearby hospital.
