Several Algerian soldiers were wounded, two of them seriously, in a roadside bomb attack against their convoy southeast of Algiers, newspapers reported Thursday.
According to the Arabic-language daily El Khabar, 11 soldiers were wounded in the attack in Ouled Benfodhil, west of the town of Bouira.

The El-Watan daily said two of the wounded were in serious condition and were medevaced to a health centre in Bordj Menaiel.
The area has been plagued by a series of attacks recently, including suicide blasts against a police station in Bordj Menaiel last week that left two dead and 14 wounded.
