A National Transitional Council (NTC) official announced on Monday that they had come to an agreement on the formation of an interim cabinet. Mahmoud Jibril, the current head of the NTC is named interim prime minister.

The official, who asked to remain anonymous, told US Radio Sawa that the new cabinet will be announced soon.

Earlier, NTC diplomatic envoy in London, Mahmoud Al-Nakou, revealed that the cabinet formation had been postponed due to disagreements regarding portfolios.

On Sunday, Mahmoud Jibril had announced the postponement pending the conclusion of talks.
