British defence minister Michael Fallon resigned from his position on Wednesday, the BBC's political editor Laura Kuenssberg said on Twitter.

"Michael Fallon has resigned as Defence Secretary, admitting his behaviour in the past may have ‘fallen short’," Kuenssberg said.
