Iran may move its nuclear enrichment plants

A senior Iranian military commander says the country's nuclear facilities may be moved to safer locations if authorities consider the move to be necessary

AP , Wednesday 14 Dec 2011

Revolutionary Guard's Gholam Reza Jalali says nuclear facilities' vulnerability from a possible strike is "already minimal" but that they still might be moved for greater protection. His remarks were carried Wednesday by the semi-official Mehr news agency.

Both the U.S. and Israel have not rule out a military option against Iran's controversial nuclear program, which the West suspects is aimed at making atomic weapons. Iran denies the charge.

Iran's main uranium enrichment site in Natanz is built partly underground and the long-secret Fordo facility was built deep inside a mountain.
