Two Kuwaiti army forces who are part of the Arab league observers in Syria are injured during an attack

Kuwait's official news agency says a group of Arab League observers in Syria has been attacked and two monitors from Kuwait have been lightly injured.

The state-run KUNA news agency says the observers were attacked in the northern city of Latakia by "unknown protesters" on Monday.

The report Tuesday did not detail their injuries. It says the monitors injured are both Kuwaiti army officers. They were taken to the hospital, but have since returned to work at the Arab mission's headquarters in Damascus, KUNA says.
