Arab interior ministers to meet on Thursday

The 38th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council will convene on Thursday with the participation of Arab interior ministers and representatives from Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Arab Police Sports Federation and high-level Arab security delegations.

The virtual session will begin with a word of Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdel Aziz ben Saud ben Nayef in his capacity as the honorary president of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and Secretary General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council Mohamed ben Ali Koman will also address the opening session.

The session will discuss a number of important topics, including the report of the secretary general of the council on the work of the General Secretariat between the 37th and 38th sessions and the report of the president of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences on the work of the university at the same period.

The session will also discuss the draft of the 10th Arab security plan, the draft of the 8th Arab media plan for security awareness and crime prevention and the draft of the 7th plan for the Arab strategy of traffic safety.

The session will also discuss recommendations emanating from conferences and meetings organized by the General Secretariat.
