In its monthly report, the commission indicated that attacks in May were concentrated in Nablus with 132 attacks, followed by Jenin, then Tulkarm, according to Palestinian News Agency WAFA.

On Thursday, Israeli occupation forces detained at least 38 Palestinians in raids on homes in the occupied West Bank, the majority of them from Bethlehem governorate, WAFA reported.

Sources in Bethlehem told WAFA that the Israeli army raided the town of Tuqu and arrested 23 Palestinians ranging between 18 and 40-years-old.

In Ramallah, Israeli soldiers detained a mother and her son, and another member of the same family. A fourth was detained in the village of Ajoul.

In Hebron, in the south West Bank, three people from Beit Ummar were also arrested, and one from Fawwar refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reported that Israeli authorities are still withholding the bodies of 12 Palestinian prisoners who died while incarcerated.

The longest withheld body is for the prisoner Anis Douleh, who died in 1980.
