Fierce confrontations had broken out between Palestinian youth and the Israeli army during the raid on the refugee camp in the city which lies in the northwest of the occupied territory, reported WAFA.
The confrontations, which involved heavy Israeli gunfire, left five Palestinians injured with live bullet shrapnel.
Since the start of 2023, near-daily Israeli raids and settler attacks on various towns and refugee camps in the West Bank have left 212 Palestinians killed and hundreds injured.
Meanwhile, Palestinian attacks on Israelis have left 28 dead.
New settler attacks
Also on Sunday morning, a group of Israeli settlers blocked Palestinian Bedouin herders from reaching grazing lands in a village near the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank, threatening to burn their tents, WAFA reported.
On Saturday, Israeli settlers from the Haggai and Kiryat Arba settlements near Hebron attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones in the area but no injuries were reported, according to Palestinian security sources.
According to various estimates, 500,000 Israelis live in settlements, illegal under international law, in the occupied West Bank and east Jerusalem.
The UN humanitarian agency OCHA reported 591 settler-related incidents in the occupied territory in the first six months of 2023, resulting in Palestinian casualties, property damage, or both, so far this year.
