Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ali Fadavi warned Israel that Iran will not hesitate to target its energy sources should it "make any mistake," the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

"If the occupiers make any mistake, we will target all their energy resources, stations, refineries, and gas fields," Brigadier General Ali Fadavi said on Friday.

"Iran is a large and vast country with many economic centres, while Israel has three power plants and several refineries, and we can attack them simultaneously," he added.

Fadavi's remarks follow Israeli threats to target Iran's oil refineries and energy infrastructure after Iran launched a  retaliation against Israel on Tuesday, firing approximately 180 missiles in response to a series of Israeli assassinations of Tehran-aligned leaders.

Israel has killed several top figures, including Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah, and senior IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
