The vehicle breached the checkpoint, leading to minor injuries for the two individuals involved.
Sources speaking to Al Jazeera confirmed that Israeli forces have deployed additional military reinforcements to the area surrounding the town of Al-Khader, near Bethlehem, in response to the incident.
Israel's public broadcaster reported that the driver of the vehicle managed to flee the scene after the crash, evading arrest.
22:25 Israeli airstrikes on Gaza early Monday morning have resulted in the deaths of at least 39 Palestinians, including ten who were killed in an attack on the Al-Mawassi area, a shelter for displaced people in western Khan Younis.
According to medical sources speaking to Al Jazeera, the bombings, which targeted multiple locations across Gaza, have also left dozens more injured.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the bombing of Al-Mawassi, an area housing displaced families from previous waves of violence, was particularly devastating.
At least 10 people were confirmed dead and many others were injured in the air raid, which struck homes and makeshift shelters where civilians had sought refuge.

The statement mentioned UN resolutions which have called on Israel to withdraw from these areas, and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, in which Arab nations offered Israel normalised ties in return for a two-state agreement with the Palestinians along the 1967 lines.

Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) said: "The initial unofficial toll of the raid on a house in the town of Ain Yacoub amounted to 28 martyrs and wounded Syrians, displaced citizens, and the townspeople."
"An enemy strike targeted a house in the village of Ain Yaacoub," some 150 kilometres (93 miles) from Israel, said Lebanon's NNA.
Local official Rony Al-Hage told AFP that "displaced people lived in the two-storey house" and that it was the northernmost Israeli attack since the full-blown war erupted.
"Rescue and rubble-removing operations are still ongoing," Hage said.
19:45 The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health issued its daily update on the ongoing Israeli attacks, revealing that airstrikes on Sunday, 10 November 2024, resulted in 54 more martyrs and 56 injuries.
According to the Ministry’s Emergency Operations Centre, the total number of casualties since the start of the Israeli aggression now stands at 3,243 martyrs and 14,134 wounded.

18:45 Lebanon's health ministry said an Israeli strike on the southern town of Saksakiyeh killed at least seven people on Monday, with women and children among the dead.
Earlier, the ministry said that an "Israeli enemy strike on Saksakiyeh... killed seven people and injured seven others in an initial toll," with Lebanon's official National News Agency saying the attack "targeted a house" and killed "mostly women and children," adding that rescuers were searching for missing people under the rubble.
Israeli strikes have been predominantly targeting homes and in residential areas, doctors are seeing more children affected by the violence. More than 100 children have been killed in Lebanon in the past six weeks and hundreds injured. And of the 14,000 wounded since last year, around 10 percent are children. Many have been left with severed limbs, burned bodies, and broken families — scars that could last for a lifetime.
18:30 Israel's far-right Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, announced that he hopes to push for Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank by 2025. In comments made during a meeting with his far-right faction in the Knesset, Smotrich said "I have instructed the authorities overseeing West Bank settlements to begin professional and comprehensive staff work to prepare for extending sovereignty."

17:00 Sirens rang out once again in Akka, Haifa, and surrounding settlements in northern Israel, following a fresh barrage of rockets fired by Hezbollah in response to the increasing Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
The Israeli military reported detecting the launch of 80 rockets aimed at the Haifa Bay area.
Meanwhile, sirens also sounded in the Nativ HaAsarah region near the Gaza Strip.

16:15 German airline group Lufthansa said it was extending the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv up to and including 15 December due to Israel's wars in Gaza and Lebanon.
The extension applied to all the group airlines, including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Eurowings.
The group said that flights to Tel Aviv from Frankfurt and Munich with flagship airline Lufthansa will also be suspended until the end of the year.
Previously, all of the group's flights had been suspended up to and including 25 November.
As have other carriers, the Lufthansa group has repeatedly modified its flight schedule in recent months due to heightened tensions in the Middle East.
Its flights to the Iranian capital have also been suspended until the end of January next year, while services to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, have been suspended until the end of February.
15:28 France's foreign minister said the European Union could soon launch a new round of sanctions against Israeli settlers accused of fuelling violence in the Palestinian territories.
France had already imposed sanctions against "28 violent settlers" and been instrumental in deciding sanctions at the European Union level, Jean-Noel Barrot told the Paris Peace Forum, an annual gathering dedicated to international dialogue.
He said the EU's sanctions regime had already been activated twice and "might be activated a third time soon."
"We are deeply attached to the security of Israel," Barrot said, but "in the interest of Israel, of Israeli security, international law needs to be respected and justice needs to be reached."
Nearly 780 Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed by Israeli troops and terrorist settlers in the last year.

"Our investigation has verified that no nationals or domestic companies were involved in Lebanon's high-profile pager detonation incidents," Taiwan prosecutors said in a statement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Sunday he "greenlighted the pager operation."
Exploding pagers and walkie-talkies killed nearly 40 people and wounded nearly 3,000, preceding Israel's ongoing military operation in Lebanon, which has killed thousands more.
The New York Times reported previously that Israel had inserted explosive material into a shipment of pagers from Taiwan's Gold Apollo, citing American and other anonymous officials.
Gold Apollo has staunchly denied producing the devices.
"No concrete evidence of criminal activity has been discovered in this case, nor have any specific individuals been implicated in any criminal activity," said the prosecutors' office in Taipei's Shilin district.
The prosecutors said they found that the AR-924 model pager had been designed, manufactured, and shipped "outside Taiwan" by the "multinational group" Frontier Group Entity.
Prosecutors said Gold Apollo had authorised Frontier Group Entity to use its trademark under an agreement signed with a subsidiary of that company in June 2022.
Investigators did not say where Frontier Group Entity is based or identify its subsidiary.

11:45 The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has submitted a new complaint to the UN Security Council in response to Israel's repeated attacks on UNIFIL forces and its further violation of the Blue Line.
Lebanon confirmed that these new attacks reflect Israel's continued targeting of UNIFIL forces and their positions.
"These incidents are added to more than thirty Israeli attacks on peacekeeping forces in Lebanon during October 2024 alone," the ministry said in a statement.
Lebanon reiterated its demand for the UN Security Council to condemn these attacks, hold Israel accountable, and take effective measures to ensure the safety of UNIFIL sites and its personnel, enabling it to carry out its mandate fully and effectively and ensuring the implementation of Resolution 1701.
11:15 The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth reported there had been a 20 percent decrease in the number of Israeli reserve soldiers complying with call-up orders for Gaza and Lebanon.
"Thousands of reservists are refusing to serve," the Israeli outlet said.
The Israeli army stated that this is a result of fatigue, with soldiers unwilling to reach a point of collapse like others before them.
The decline in compliance began specifically with the start of ground operations in Lebanon, according to the report.

09:00 Four Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli bombing on the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, WAFA news agency reported.
Local sources said that the occupation's artillery fired heavily, west of Nuseirat camp, an elderly woman.
Israeli warplanes also bombed tents housing displaced people in the Sawarha area, west of Nuseirat, killing three citizens and injuring others.
Additionally, drones fired intensively at citizens' homes in the Al-Mufti area and the outskirts of Camp 5, north of Nuseirat.
Occupation forces also fired machine guns in the Al-Fakhoura area in the Beit Lahia project, north of Gaza, and the artillery shelled the Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood in the southeast of Gaza City.
