"Doha is consulting with regional partners on how to respond to Tuesday’s attack," Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said in an interview with CNN on Wednesday.
He noted that the summit will bring together Arab and Islamic leaders in the coming days to determine a collective course of action, emphasizing that Qatar will not dictate how its partners should respond.
The Qatari premier described the Israeli strike on Doha as “international terrorism.”
“I have no words to express how angry we are at this act… this is terrorism… we have been betrayed,” he stated.
He added that Qatar welcomed a “strong message” from US President Donald Trump condemning the attack and stressing that “practical measures” must follow.
He further warned that the Israeli assault on Doha had “killed any hope” for the remaining Israeli captives in Gaza.
The Israeli airstrike, which targeted Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, drew widespread condemnation across the Arab world and beyond as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a breach of international laws and conventions.
