According to Petra New Agency, the two leaders discussed the importance of supporting Syria and Lebanon in safeguarding their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.
King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Qatar, underlining his country’s solidarity and continued coordination with allied states to protect national sovereignty.
Sheikh Tamim echoed the sentiment, vowing that Qatar would take all necessary measures to defend its security and sovereignty.
The visit comes two days after Doha hosted an emergency Arab-Islamic summit that condemned Israel as a threat to regional stability, and one day after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Sheikh Tamim in Doha to repair US-Qatari ties following the strikes.
A statement from Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court said both leaders reaffirmed their support for the legitimate rights of Palestinians.
Qatar’s Emiri Diwan described the meeting as “constructive,” saying the leaders emphasised coordinated bilateral efforts and stronger Arab action to address regional risks.
“The priority should be to end the Palestinians’ suffering through a peaceful and comprehensive solution in line with international legitimacy,” the Emiri Diwan said.
The leaders also pledged to boost economic and investment cooperation and called for the activation of the Jordanian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee to oversee joint initiatives.
