The Lebanese News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes on several locations in the Baalbek district.
The raids struck the mountainous area of Janta in the eastern range and extended to several sites on the outskirts of Chmistar town in eastern Lebanon. The attacks killed two individuals and left several others injured.
Panic spread among students at Chmistar Secondary School, where several window panes were shattered during school hours due to the bombings.
The air raids were accompanied by intense low-altitude flights of Israeli warplanes over the Bekaa Valley. Explosions were heard across the Bekaa mountains, and thick smoke columns were seen rising from targeted locations.
Earlier today, the Lebanese News Agency also reported that Israeli unmanned reconnaissance aircraft flew at low altitude over the Lebanese capital, Beirut and its suburbs, marking a new breach of Lebanese airspace coinciding with the airstrikes in eastern Lebanon.
