Yemen's opposition states pre-emptively it will not join the unity government that President Ali Abdullah Saleh is expected to offer. Instead, it affirms to stand with popular demands for an end to Saleh’s three-decade rule.

"The opposition decided to stand with the people's demand for the fall of the regime, and there is no going back from that," said Mohammed al-Sabry, a spokesman for Yemen's umbrella opposition coalition.
