Lebanese Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is to give a speech Sunday amid a tense political scene awaiting the STL’s contentious indictment due on December 2.

The speech will be given while Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri is on a three-day visit to Tehran and while Lebanon is in distress due to a standoff between the Shiite militia Hezbollah and the Hariri’s March 14 Alliance.

Nasrallah’s speech follows a controversial report by a Canadian reporter that links the group to the assassination of prominent Lebanese leader Rafiq Al-Hariri. The group sternly warned of being indicted by the Special Tribunal of Lebanon it had denounced as an Israeli tool.

Hariri’s visit is his first as prime minister and he’s scheduled to meet with Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad Sunday. Lebanon’s former Prime Minister Rafiq Al-Hariri had established a formal relationship between the two countries as he was the first head of government to visit Tehran in 1997.
