The Israeli army launched two air raids on the Gaza Strip overnight in retaliation against a rocket attack on southern Israel, it said Sunday.
"Two terrorist activity sites in the north and central parts of the Gaza Strip were attacked and hit," the army said in a statement.
The attacks were launched in response to a rocket fire from the Gaza Strip towards southern Israel, the statement added.
A similar Israeli retaliatory strike on Gaza overnight Wednesday left a woman and four children injured, according to Palestinian and Israeli sources.
