Seven men have been arrested in London, Wales and Dover on suspicion of terror offences, the British Police have announced.
The arrests were made during anti-terrorism operations and raids within the last four days.
Of the seven, two arrests were made during dawn raids in South East London. They are being interrogated in a heavily-guarded police station in Central London.
According to the police, all seven arrested are suspected of conspiracy to possess and supply fraudulent documents, and of commissioning, preparing or instigating acts of terrorism, in violation of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The police affirmed there is no imminent terror threat.
The terror threat level in the UK was raised from “substantial” to “severe” a few months ago because of increasing concerns over hundreds of British fighters travelling to Iraq and Syria to side with militant groups such as the Islamic State.
