A volcano in Chile that had been inactive for 50-plus years suddenly erupted twice in the space of hours with tremendous force, blasting huge clouds of ash into the air and forcing the evacuation of some 5,000 people in the city of Peutro Montt, AFP reported.
Rodrigo Barrera , a resident of Chile's Puetro Montt, recorded on late Wednesday and early Thursday the huge eruption of Calbuco, using time-lapse techniques, in a series of videos uploaded to his YouTube Channel.
