The Swedish Academy will be allowed to award the 2018 Nobel Prize for literature along with this year's prize, Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter reported on Tuesday, citing the head of the literary academy.

The Nobel Foundation last year stopped the Swedish Academy from awarding the prize after a string of sexual misconduct allegations against the husband of one of its board members caused a deep rift.
