US sent suspect back to France from Afghanistan, says official

A Frenchman, currently suspected of shooting seven people in three gun attacks, was transported from Afghanistan by the US Army, French prosecutor Francois Molins said Wednesday

The US army sent a French citizen currently besieged by police in Toulouse after the killings of seven people in three separate gun attacks, back to France after he was arrested in Afghanistan, a French official said Wednesday.

Afghan police detained the young man and then handed him over to the US army "who put him on the first plane headed to France," prosecutor Francois Molins told reporters.
