Seven people, including a young girl, were killed following two fresh attacks attributed to Nigeria's Boko Haram Islamists in the country's restive north, the army and police said Monday.
A military spokesman said gunmen killed a politician, a police officer and a civilian in the northeastern town of Dikwa late Sunday but that three of attackers were then killed by the army. In a separate attack in Potiskum, suspected Boko Haram members killed a little girl, a police spokesman said.
