Democrats slam 'vile' Trump death penalty threats

The Democratic Party on Thursday slammed US President Donald Trump's threat of the death penalty for six lawmakers who urged the military to refuse "illegal orders" from the administration.

"Trump just called for the death of Democratic elected officials. Absolutely vile," the party posted on its official X account, above a repost of Trump's earlier comment: "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!"
