French President Francois Hollande Thursday said guaranteeing the safety of Jews is a "national cause," as he addressed a memorial for three Jewish children and a rabbi shot dead by an Islamist gunman in the country's south.
"France will hunt down terrorism ...by all possible means," he said. "Safeguarding their safety, their integrity and their dignity is a national cause," he said at a Jewish school in the southwestern city of Toulouse.
