US Secretary of State John Kerry met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Sunday for talks aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the crisis over Ukraine.

Kerry was welcomed at the Russian ambassador's residence in Paris by Lavrov and the two men posed for a photograph before starting a meeting on a plan to ease the worse East-West standoff since the end of the Cold War.
